I met Tony when we were just puppies, 13/14 years of age, acting a fool in our respective high schools but doing graffiti on the same chicago walls. Drinking way too much at DePaul parties, throwing our own parties in his big suburb home and running around to find our paths in life. Who knew we'd over 10 years later discovery each other on the same path, acting. I had the pleasure of seeing him in an Improv show not but a few months back and now here he is on my stomping grounds and I couldn't be more impressed!
I wanted to do a shoot with Tony that took him out of that funny man light and showed his softer side! hahaha fine I wanted to make him a good ol, god lovin HIPSTER...well what better place then to take him to Urban Outfitters, a hipsters mecca. Purchase clothes we did not, tried things on and take photos in the changing room was my plan. But when the flash went off the first pair of thick black framed ray bans was quick to ban us from taking photos. Quick thinking had me blurt out "but my friend is color blind and we take pictures and transfer them for him to see what he is really buying." I didn't even believe the bullshit that came out of my mouth, although Tony really is color blind so it was so much a lie! Sure enough it worked and she with an empathetic sigh responded "you can't take pictures in the changing room but feel free to go out into the store!" BOOSH. Off we went for a quick photo shoot, styled by urban outfitters, shot in urban outfitters.
Overall the experience was awesome, the photos were great and best of all the whole darn thing was free! You see, don't take much but a bearded dude and a lying photographer to take a photo shoot, SOOOO HIPSTER!
